Praying for Rain

Ya know what they say about what happends when you are sore. You are really sore the following day after working out, and you are immobile the second day after working out. That is how i feel today, immobile like a grandma. WOW. Janeil had a great quote this morning: God, please make it rain, or take away the pain. Yeah, we are a bunch of sissy girls. I would like to pick up a bunch of additional chapels tonight too, so if it rained, it would be a very good thing.

My dad is home from the phillipeans. YAY. He had a really good trip, and accomplished what he needed to get done, and had even more fun doing it this time. The villagers are improving their english, so he got to talk to them even more. He took a lot of pictures, so hopefully ill be able to see them soon. He also brought home some nice village stuff like usual. No spears or machettis this time, but he did bring back some traditional knives and stuff like that. My mom and I are both happy that he is home now. He's pretty cold though. Thanks to those who have prayed for my dad during his trip.

This past week has reminded me why i do not read for fun during the semester. I just finished reading First Person Plural by Cameron West, which is a really good book about a guy with DID. Its an autobiography, and seriously, one of the better books i have ever read. However, i read this book, around 400 pages, within the week. Not so good when you should be doing other things like homework. I get distracted way too easy.

Gravity

so, its been awhile since i have posted last. I guess i dont really have much to say. Back to Texas, adjustments, new classes, But really, everything is kinda the same. I realized i dont like the statement 'i dont care' it really bugs me, because i think we should care about things. random thought. Also, my dad will be flying back from the philipeans next week. If you guys could pray for him that would be great. Its always kinda nerve-racking when he goes in and out of there. Manila isnt quite the safest place on earth. Energizer Bunny

So, ive decided that my day is powered by the energizer bunny. It just keeps going, and going and going. Guys, you need to pray for snow or something. Its all melting away, so when people leave the mountain area and dont come back, it leaves me with the insanely long day. I sat at the bottom of the summit chair, almost at the top of pico, and saw 153 loaded chairs go to the top for a total of 7 hours. Matt and i got some good quality bonding time, and psudo nap time. Had some very interesing conversations, and now i know a ton about a few of the guys on the mountain. Great slacker day. So, we had to run the disel engine today so i was late goin to darkside, so i speeded from pico to darkside. Low and behold, they have been slow all day as well. A total of 300 has been sold at this store the entire day. So, now, im at work at darkside, with a possibility of not seeing a coustomer for at least an hour. oh boy. HA, what a day. Wow, i spoke too soon, i just had two sales. GO ME. :) well, i should probably get back to work now.. :) Don't get me wrong, im not complaining. These jobs are completely awesome, wouldnt want to be workin anywhere else :)

Im headin back to LU on friday, i should fly into Shrevesport at 7pm. Not ready to get back, but ready to get another semester done. See you guys then!
