So... my 3rd to last exam is on monday, and im tired of studying already.. i got two days left to study for this beast... wound care and a whole ton of randomness... whoop whoop... 38 days until the end of classes :) Pray for me if you get the chance

So, i havent updated in a week or so... yeah.. sorry bout that

Tim came to philly for thanksgiving and we made our own meal.. it was very very good, nothing was burned, and we had a really nice time. we went to gettysburg, hung out with his sister jody... we had a lot of fun!!

this week ive been fighting off a fever which has been goin around the class... guess it was my turn..

now im sitting in a healthcare lecture... that weve already had last semester.. this sucks, and i am beyond bored... this is a picture that we drew of the lecturer... he really gets into healthcare, one of the times when he gets super excited about healthcare, we think hes gonna just rip of his shirt and yell heathcare... yeah, that'd be funny...

Preggers

So, let me tell you how much i dont wanna be pregnant.. im in a pregnancy lecture right now, and OUCH!!! episiotomys, Diastisis Recti, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence... babys freakin wreck all havoc to your female parts... adhesions, scarring, dysfunction... oouuuuuccchhhhh...... i love being in pain for an 1.5 due to lecture...

im going to work out at LA fitness at 11... i have a break till 1, so im using my time wisely.. i gotta get rid of my belly fat, which i believe is permanently stuck to me, and i am attempting in vain, because HA, its goin nowhere...

this afternoon i have a lab, where we have to stick electrodes up our whoo-ha, and measure our strength of pelvic floor muscles... i say, i refuse! i will leave if i have to, im not doin that! oh well, guys have to stick probes up their butt... this sucks... i hate the pelvic floor.. whole lot of pain this is...

and to wrap up this incredibly fun day, i will study at starbucks from 5-8.. sweet deal... 9-10 i will watch house, then i will sleep... and get up tomorrow and do it all over again... oh boy!

Today is short, its a good thing from the torture that they put us though this weekend. 1.5 hours of ethics in PT, 2 hours of intro aquatic therapy, then we are DONE!!! im gonna do laundry and study this afternoon, since i did no school work this weekend... my life is so exciting, sometimes i wonder why i even blog...

So, i havent updated in like.. months.. i am sorry about that!

I just finished up a two months rotation in Acute Inpatient Physical Therapy. I absolutely loved it. I really am going to look into acute inpatient when i graduate. In a year from now i will only have clinical left before i graduate.. i wish that i could just fly though time.

Since im back in school, im back to learning fun things in class.. like this unit which is on urinary incontinence, pelvic floor, pregnancy, kegals, butt massage, oohhh, we are all up in everyones business.. yes, its true, PT students have no personal space. in fact yesterday Elizabeth and Andrea palpated my pubic symphysis... you dont know what it is? look it up? we also got to feel the piriformis muscle and massage it.. also.. look it up.. butt massage... its a great welcome back present.

This weekend my parents are coming to visit. hopefully i will remember to update more than i have been now that clinic is over and my schedule is returning to normal. i wish that i didnt have class and i could just work. its 100% better. Tomorrow is a 2 day pharmacology lecture.. yes, thats right friday and saturday. im convinced that my professors hate me...

So, i am seriously unable to sleep. its 2am and im wide awake... why? i dunno.... this blows... im exhausted all the time, but then when i wanna sleep.. i cant. bah. i just took some tylenol pm, so hopefully ill be sleeping soon.

i started clinical on tuesday. it was really interesting working with patients and starting to learn how to actually be a PT. its funny how what they teach you in the classroom is really not how you perform in the clinic. i need to work on confidence for sure. its hard to do that when you really dont know what your doing. i need to be able to fake confidence i guess. im not so good at that. my favorite wards are ICU, CPU, and the psych ward. those are my favorite patients. i think i am still looking forward to working in outpatient though. inpatient is nice, i get to wear scrubs and all you have to do is get the patient up and walking, but i really dont have a huge passion for what im doing. i want to really be into what im learning. maybe if i worked more with the wards i like and less with telemetry and general inpatient, i might enjoy it more. humm...

ohio was amazing. i had so much fun, and i was terribly sad to leave. it gets harder and harder to leave each and every time im there. i wish there was some way to make ohio closer to pa, because sometimes it nearly kills me being so far away. however, things are going well, and have continued to go well despite the distance, and in fact in some way the distance has made my relationship stronger. wierd how that happends. with God in control all things are possible. and he is the only reason why anything works. we obviously went to niagara falls, then up to ottowa to move his sister christy back down to ohio. it was fun. but oh boy, do i loooove driving (yeah.. umm... not really) but at least i wasnt driving much, and i wasnt driving alone.

Nova Scotia and Niagara Falls with Tim

So, i havent updated in awhile, but thats cause ive been busy. I went up to Nova Scotia for around 4 days, drove around maine and saw some places i used to go often when i was a kid, then i drove back to vt. Had a dentist apt and a drug test, spent the night and then drove to Ohio. I broke the trip up into 2 days, so it wasnt too inntense, but it still sucked hardcore!

Now i am at my destination: OHIO!! YAY to see my absolutely wonderful boyfriend, Timothy Price. Still kinda wierd to say that after 6 months, but you know, whatever. We are gonna travel up to Niagra Falls tomorrow since ive never been there, and then we are going to his sisters apartment in Ottowa (i think its ottowa) and help her move back to ohio. I will be leaving from here to go to philly i think on August 31.

Ill post pictures of the whole shibang when i get back to philly and i have a proper connection. Nova Scotia was beautiful :) Ive spent a lot of time in canada this summer... i like it!

Born Free

SO, back i am in vermont. weeeee.... in two days i have read harry potter and the socerers stone, and i have finished Queen of the Dammed. Basically i have gone crazy with the reading. I got two books from the pasters wife that i will be starting soon, hopefully to finish just as soon so i can go buy harry potter #2. oh yeah, and im gonna paint this really pretty picture of a boat.

i love summer for these reasons.

I ended up not going to Maine to the wedding, maybe ill go up later in the week, maybe not. havent quite made up my mind, guess thats why im so random

i really dont have much to say, cause well, i havent been up to much. but i am really really antsy, so i think im gonna stop with the emails now, its driving me batty...

Wanna know what happens when you sleep all day? you dont sleep at night....

so yesterday i got back from ohio... it was a sad day, so let me start from the beginning...

almost two weeks ago, cadaver lab finally ended. on the 3rd of july. i stayed in philly for 2 days resting up and such, then i drove home to vt, and stayed there for a couple days. Last wednesday i left for PA again, spent the night in scranton with breezy then drove to Ohio on thursday to spend time with the guy i call my boyfriend :) tim... met his parents and hung out there until tuesday when i left to come back to philly.

so, i wont be online to update much this summer, since im gonna be all around. ill drive home sometime around saturday, then go to maine for a wedding, then back to vt for a week, then to nova scotia, back to philly, back to ohio, back to philly, maybe VT, back to philly for school. im gonna end up killing my car! talk about road trip!

I'll post pictures later of the last couple of weeks, just didnt want you guys to think i dropped off the planet. i will try to update as much as i can, but in vt, the internet kinda sucks, so i dont go online much.

oh yeah, today, i decided to buy only healthy food to eat.. YAY.. and i bought a sucker fish to clean my tank... yay for sucker fishes!!!

wanna hear a funny story?

This proves that i am downright rediculously accident prone
So anyway, on friday i had had a long day with cadavers... i was tired, and really, i wanted to take a nap, but since i like to exercise about 4 times a week at LA fitness, i decided that i really needed to go. Well, during the afternoons (before 4pm) the gym decides that its a good idea to play slow music that makes me want to sleep. So, as im walking on the treadmill, there is relaxing music, and a cow milking competition on ESPN... yes.. COW MILKING!!! Anyway, my friend Elizabeth who was next to me, put on her headphones for obvious reasons, so i decided that it would be ok to shut my eyes for a second, while still walking... well wouldnt you know i fell asleep or something cause the next thing i knew, i had flown off the back of the treadmill and heard a nice POP noise....

i sprained my ankle pretty extensively. could barely walk on it... and now 3 days later its still swollen, purple, green, and blue... yup.. blue... didnt know skin could change so many different colors... it even hurts way up into mid calf... im pretty angry at the deep peronial nerve.... and the fibulocalcaneal ligament... stupid ankle.. and stupid me...





on a side note, its 1am.. i have an exam at 8:30am and i am wired as all get out... its terrible... grr.. i wanna sleep

So, this week has been fun. I had a good birthday, took two exams and then went to elizabeths for the weekend. we went to a theme park, a cancer walk, and just generally hung out with her family. It was fun.

I found a way to watch the second season of LOST, and BOY am i excited... LOST is the best!! im addicted... and finally to a non-girly show.

one depressing thought... this fall will be my 20th year of school... wow...

so.... im tired... school sucks... no class friday, instead we have a mock practical saturday. Switchin days, aint so fun, and unfortunately that means i cant go to the Baja Competition. im sad. i wanted to spend more time with laura. at least i get to pick her up at the airport on friday :)...

speaking of which, my birthday is NEXT FRIDAY!!! the big 2-3.... humm....
