Today was a great day. It started off boring... well not really boring... let me explain. So i got up early to see Baja off and wish them good luck n all. The car was lookin mighty fine, and the senior team had their car all ready to go finally, so all was well with Baja. I went back to my room and talked to Flic for awhile, looked up random stuff online, and did about all i could until there was nothing else to do online. Then i decided.. humm.. sleep sounds good. So i took another wonderful nap. Got up and decided that i was bored again, so i decided to drive around since i gained posession of Danny's car for the night.

I decided to do laundry at KZX, then i drove to getto one to get tea... umm... that was really good with honey. After that Will and i made dinner which consisted of pancakes with REAL maple syrup and scrambled eggs. After dinner Danny drove me to kilgore where i found where my class is this week. So that was my day in a nutshell.. fun stuff

I think im gettin sick too. The weather changes from Vermont to Texas are never really good for my system. In fact my body HATES the insane weather changes.

Today was good though, i had some good conversations with some great people. AND

the best thing is.. the guy that my dad goes on mission trips with to the Phillipeans is gonna be on campus on the 16th of June! I have wanted to meet him for so long, but hes always in Vermont when im in school, and im always at home when he is in Texas. So i beat the system, i take summer school!! YES!! So i am really excited i get to meet him. He is an amazing guy!

Well, that was my day.. all of it... time for bed now.. G'night

Iconoclast

Iconoclast means to oppose the establishment. I feel like that sometimes when im at LeTourneau. OPPOSE THE UNIVERSITY!! BE A REBEL... ehh, just kidding...

so on with my busy live as it stands at LU... Today i went to church, then took a really long nap until dinner, i made rice a roni for dinna with salad. YUM i love rice aroni... soooo good!! Then i ran errands for a bit... drove Radio to get some food, then i stopped and hung out with the Baja crew for quite some time. Then Laura stopped by and we all had a great time!! Ive missed Laura, and we need to hang out soon! Then i dropped the car back off at KZX and then i went to bed. What a day i tell ya!

It has come to my attention that all of my guy friends are senior design team leaders. Danny of Formula, Derek of MiniBaja, and Zach of some ultralight airplane design. Well, it looks like i will be visiting the Machine Tool Lab often next year. It figures that i would be dating the project manager of Formula since i dislike it so much. how ironic it is...

The weather has been nice here, rainy, but still so much warmer than VT, its cold inside, but if i ever get to cold i can open a window or just plain go outside. I am enjoying the heat her thus far. This summer in TX has yet to kill me!

Well, its off to bed for me.. im a sleepy sloth!

Pariah

Pariah is a noun, and it means 'an outcast'

Yup, the rumors are true. I am in TEXAS!! Emily picked me up at the airport, and then we had fun runnin around town doin errands. Good day. She is also the coolest person i know, because she definately hooked me up with the greatest room ever. Its a single room, so there is only one bed, one desk, etc. which means only one thing. No roommate! I love my roomie from the regular semesters, but its nice to have my own room if i cant be livin with her. So i like Quad 4... i wish that i could live here longer

So other than traveling and hangin out with Emily, I have made dinner down at KZX, slept awhile, and finished my powerpoint of Egypt that i am doing for my church. They have asked me to do a presenation some night service about my trip to Egypt. I made it look good too. Everyone should come visit me and see my presentation! :)

well... i think im gonna get some reading done. I got the free time, so i should read. I need to start exercising again, but im not sure when the best time would be. Early morning, or late night? Or Solheim? I wish i was an early person, cause i would do the early morning thing. Maybe ill try that out.

Innocuous

Innocuous means "harmless" Wow, dont you feel smarter?

Actually, I feel dumber cause i have a 200 page stack of words i do not know. Dang it!

So Today is my last day at home! Thats right, tomorrow i will be leaving the frozen tundra for the oven that is texas! yay! Im gonna get to spend time with Emily, Laura, Danny, Lynn, and hopefully Nealy will visit too (At least she should!!). I also suggest that Jessi come visit, but i have a feeling that Longview isnt exactly the past of Texas that she wants to be at :( oh well... i understand :-D

I havent been up to all too much. Working every now and then. Today is Bre's birthday.. Happy 17th birthday to Breezy!!

Im starting to work out again, and this time i really wanna keep up the workout plan for at least 8weeks so i can see results. I really am gonna have to motivate myself to work out in Texas.. ugh.. nasty humidity. I have even been really good about not eating chocolate. yay for me :)

Well, i think thats about all, i gotta go pack... If you are thinkin of me tomorrow.. i will be flying out of Hartford Airport at 6am, which means i need to leave my house at 2am... AHHH. I will be flying into Shrevesport around 11:30, where the lovely Emily is picking me up! Its gonna be one heck of an early morning!!

Inchoate

Inchoate is todays word of the day and it means not fully formed, or disorganized. I am really tired of the words that begin with I.. i need another letter.

So today was my first day of work. I love working at the Vet clinic, but it makes me think. wow... this sucks. When i was in high school and i worked there i worked as a veterinary technician, and a labratory technician, now i clean up dog poop. usually when you get more education you get better jobs, not worse jobs. Oh well, I cant complain too much it pays. So thats what i did this morning.

Yesterday i got a lot done. I raked a quarter of the pasture, so i can more easily scoop manure when we move the backhoe into the pasture for major clean up, i made dinner which consisted of pineapple/strawberry smoothies, fresh baked bread, and scalloped potatoes and ham. Yum! I am definatly improving my cooking skills. I also got a new shirt at Maurises which i will be able to wear in TX, but not really at home, cause its WAY too cold for that.

Yesterday it was almost 70, so thats what inspired me to get out and do something with myself, and quit being bored sitting on my butt. However, today its back to being cold again, so aside from working and doing a much needed laundry load, i think its back to sittin on my butt. yay for nothingness

Impervious

This weekend i went to Connecticut to my deceased uncles house. My dad helped my aunt and uncle inventory all of my dead uncles belongings to probate so everything can be divided up among his decendants. I on the other hand cleaned. My uncle was not a good house-keeper, so i cleaned all the layers of dust, and swept and mopped the floors until everything was clean and shiny.. ooouuuu... I like making things clean. I didnt sleep in the house either, i camped out in the truck. It was kinda wierd camping in a truck, but i felt creepy sleeping in the house. This weekend was all about cleaning. I went through a bottle of Kaboom, a bottle of Pine Sol, 3 sponges, a box of Clorox wipes, a box of Pledge wood wipes and a box of Pledge all purpose wipes. I really felt accomplished when everything was done. Yay me.

Well, i pretty much have everything settled for texas when im there soon. Im flying in on the 26th and i leave the 21st. It will be a nice break from Vt, maybe ill get to warm up a bit. Hopefully i can find a job on campus or something so i dont have to pay the full 50 to stay on campus. That would be nice.

for those of you who have forgotten.... my birthday is coming up on the 15th... yes.. my birthday is in 29 days!!!

Gregarious

Today was slow. Very Slow. I have decided that i should have attempted to stay in Longview, but i am home for a reason so i should be happy. Wow, have the tables turned, this post reflects a christmas post.

My has this night turned to one sucky one. Gosh... well, im gonna go hide out in my room now. Dang it... why... ugh...

Frugality

Frugality means a tendancy to be thrifty or cheap. That is today's word of the day. Wow my blog is half-way educational...

I HAVE A CELL PHONE AGAIN!!! YAY. so if you know my number (it hasnt changed) please call me so i can restore my phone book again. I have lost a lot of cell phone numbers, so seriously.. please call me anytime!!

Today was fairly uneventful. Not as earth shattering as it could have been, but it was all around an extremely happy day. I unpacked my room halfway, did errands with my mom, worked out my job shadowing at the hospital, and got a new cell phone. quite the day.

Now im bored again, i watched the OC, next week is the season finalie its gonna be really good. but now its over, so since there is no one online to talk to i may go to sleep, so sad, me sleeping at 10:37... texas time its 9:37 wierd... i need a life. well goodnight

Florid

Florid means excessively decorated or embellished. That is todays word of the day. On to better things.

Yesterday was fun, but i dont feel like i accomplished all that much. I unloaded my car, went grocery shopping, made a strawberry pie (which turned out REALLY good), and made dinner which consisted of angel hair pasta with stir fry vegetables on top. I enjoy cooking. To finish off my day i hung out with breezy and tyson. We watched National Treasure then One Tree Hill. Its nice spending time with them, i have missed my family. It was 82 degrees yesterday. That is EXTREMELY impressive!!

For today i guess im doing general errands, i really need to unpack my stuff into my room, but its so cold down there you can practically see your breath. so im trying to avoid doing work down there. Today will be another lazy day. I like those since i dont have much else to do. Well, i guess ill post later. I miss everyone already :(

Austere

Austere is the word of the day. Austere means severe or stern in appearance; undecorated. The reason for the word of the day: i got home and guess what... i have a nice large GRE prep box waiting for me, so i guess i gotta start learning vocabulary that i will never need to know past this exam.

So i made it home safe and sound. It was a nice long drive. I left Sunday at 9, drove till 9 that night, woke up the next morning and drove from 9 until 12:30 that night. We made really good time. There wasnt much construction, so we only hit one traffic jam, and i didnt have to stop at random peoples houses, so there were no detours, it was just one straight trip. That was nice. So im home... Got woken up by Bre jumping on me, so my life at home has resumed.

Today im going grocery shopping, so i can make dinner tonight. I gotta brush my horse, she is shedding massively. past that i want to relax, because ive been driving for a long freakin time!!!

Theving

So.... my cell phone got stolen this weekend. That was very frustrating :( I feel so lost without it. Its funny how much i can depend on material things. like my cell phone. Anyway, in like 1 or 2 weeks, please call my cell phone so i have everyones number again.

I even talked to the guy that stole my phone. Roommate and i went to the police station to report it stolen, then i realized i could text message the guy with my phone and he could answer that way, since obviously he wasnt answering calls. I text messaged him that i wanted my phone and asked if he wanted any money for it in return. He replied "300 dollars" I told him that the phone wasnt worth that much, and i could give him 50 (im gonna have to pay 50 anyway for another phone). I also told him that i was shutting the phone off tomorrow (monday) and if he tried to re-activate the phone it would show that it was a stolen phone. So basically he either had nothing, or $50. He told me to call him and i would get my phone back. I did, and basically i restated everything. We came up with a place, but no time, so i guess im not getting my old phone back, however... my dad shut off my old phone today, so guess hes not gonna be using my phone anymore. HA.

I took my physics final today. That sucked. That really sucked. I didnt do as bad as i though i would have. It was all completely God. I was able to manipulate some formulas and it was really amazing, but i just couldnt get the F=MA eqations to work the way i wanted them to. Oh well, at least Physics I is over, i just hope i get a C or better, otherwise ill probably take it over :( Sad...

Weekend of Slack

So... ive decided that the last weekend before finals is when the craziness starts. Everyone on campus does everything possible to avoid doing actual studying. This makes the campus incredibly random for this week, and i love it.

Yesterday i decided to see how long my music library can play. So far i am over a day going. It says that i have over 54 hours of music, so we will see if thats right. Yeah, procrastination...

My roommate and i decided to steal dinner from saga and eat it later. We got two ice's, two apples, two pieces of cake, two peanut butter jelly sandwichs, some celery, and then we went to the Dorm 40 party and we got two hotdogs from that. We paid for our food, we just wanted to have a picnic. I took a picture of it, it was quite the adventure. We had fun :)

Gotta love finals week. I seriouly need to start getting work done though. My exams are as follows:

Physics I: 9:45-11:45
Thusday:
Elementary Statistics: 7:30-9:30
Abnormal Psychology: 9:45-11:45

My physics final scares me. If you could pray for me, it would be much appreciated! :)

Dressin up...

So, ive decided that i really want to get dressed up and go somewhere and do something. Where and What are the questions now. DOes anyone have any ideas? A restaurant maybe? Im serious about this, so please post and give me ideas as to what i could get dressed up to go do.

Am i who i want to be? Am i honoring God with my life that He has given it to me.

A few verses that have really been speaking to me lately come from Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."

How much do i really trust God with everything in my life. So often i say "hey God, do what you will with all of these areas in my life, but this area over here, dont mess with that... its mine" I want to give my whole life up to God in trust. That is what has been challenging me recently.
